Personal Training vs Fitness Boot Camp – Part 1
During many phone consultations and inquiries about Farmington Valley Fitness Boot Camp I am often asked what the difference is between personal training and a fitness boot camp.
Well, there are many factors as to why a fitness boot camp is far and away the best plan of attack for many frustrated exercisers out there. In fact a properly run fitness boot camp will include all of the following.
1. Intensity – A fitness boot camp is an intense, no nonsense atmosphere that is designed with one goal in mind. Work you to your ultimate limit. This new found intensity is why a properly run fitness boot camp will deliver you unparalleled results when compared to personal training. Too many personal training services at your local health club run personal training programs and call them boot camp. What you don’t realize is they usually are no more special then the basic personal training program the person working with the trainer next you is on. The intensity of a fitness boot camp is far beyond a cookie cutter health club personal training program.
2. Camroderie – Lets face it. If you are working side-by-side with people who are just as like-minded as you, then you are going to become friendly with these people. Many of you are working towards a common goal. Seeing people who are sick of your basic health club “cookie-cutter” workout, pushing themselves to their body’s maximum capacity is what helps you become part of a tight knit group. Not even to mention what having more social support does for your accountability and overall results. Let’s face it. It’s just really cool to see people who want something just as bad as you do!
3. Variety – I have seen it all too often. Many personal trainers in gyms and health clubs keep their clients on the same program for WAY to long! An effectively run fitness boot camp will ALWAYS keep your body guessing.
4. Cost-Effective – Too many personal trainers who are under-qualified and deliver minimal results (more on this in a second) try to charge you $100′s of dollars to train with them. Then you waste your hard earned money and end up feeling let down in the end when your paycheck is gone and your overpaid and under-qualified local health club so-called personal trainer got you no where but even more frustrated and with less money in your wallet. Fitness boot camps WHEN PROPERLY RUN
should be A FRACTION of the cost of personal training. Think about this for a second. Lets just say many gyms and health clubs in the area want you to pay upwards of $50 a session to purchase a personal training package of 8 sessions. That’s $400 dollars to see a trainer most likely 2 times a week. FOR A MONTH! Then they want you to pay upwards of $500!!! for a 3 week fitness boot camp! ARE YOU FREAKIN KIDDING ME!?!? A fitness boot camp, that has your results and dollar in mind, will not charge you an astronomical amount to give you results. In fact they will offer you so much more (more on this in tomorrow’s post!)
5. Guaranteed Results – So many personal trainers, gyms and health clubs should put all that money they spend on advertising where their mouths are. You see since the START of Farmington Valley Fitness Boot Camp we have been GUARANTEEING RESULTS! or what? YOUR MONEY BACK! And WE WERE THE FIRST IN THE AREA TO DO SO! Others have now finally caught on. Guaranteed results are a MUST!
